How to use the Platform

New Members

Welcome!

Welcome to COL’s Educational Podcasting for Innovative Classrooms (EPIC) platform designed to support co-creation of and free access to audio-based OER for learning in low-resource settings.

This new platform supports online podcast streaming as well as collaboration spaces for in-country teacher communities of practice (COPs).  The platform provides:

  • podcast portal for teacher-generated content;
  • teacher professional development and community area; and
  • links to other resources and platforms for TPD.

As a guest, you can view some content that does not require registration on the platform and related in-country group areas. We encourage educators to register as members of the in-country groups in order to create content (podcast episodes) of relevance to the local school or teacher training curriculum. You may  start discussions, comment, and interact with other community members.

Visit the respective country group pages to register as a member. The  regional moderators will review your request and provide access.

This course has made me realise that students don't have to be in the "physical school building" to be educated. However, there must be reliable connectivity to the internet and access to mobile devices by all students and teachers to teach/learn from home.

The technology used during the training was very effective. What is special is the interaction with other trainees and Facilitators via the forum. what is outstanding is the way we would watch, read and listen as well as text materials at the same time. Thanks!

This professional development course of 4 week enabled me to think upon the best aids which can be developed with less time and cost. I will certainly be using the skills and techniques taught post COVID-19 era to make the learning accessible to my students at any point of time .

The technology and presentation are on point. The special thing for me is the idea on IVR. I am making all efforts to learn and make use of it.
